ALPPI JOURNAL
What Is Actually Inside Your Baby's Diaper
You read the label on baby food. Your baby wears a diaper 24 hours a day for roughly 3 years, and almost nobody reads that label. Here is the honest tour of what a diaper is made of, using ours as the example, because we publish the whole list.
Layer by layer
| Layer | What it is in an Alppi diaper |
|---|---|
| Absorbent core | Totally Chlorine Free (TCF) super absorbent core with Sodium Polyacrylate, the safe water-locking polymer used in premium diapers |
| Topsheet and backsheet | Polyester and polypropylene, the skin-contact and outer layers |
| Soft cover | Breathable non-woven fabrics that let heat escape |
| Seams and joints | Solvent-free adhesives |
| Fasteners and leg cuffs | Elastic tapes and polypropylene, cut to seal without digging in |
| Wetness indicator and prints | pH-sensitive strip and safe, non-sensitizing inks |
The should-not-be-in-there list
Alppi diapers are made with no chlorine bleaching, no fragrances, no lotions, no latex, no dyes, no alcohol, no heavy metals, no parabens, no phthalates, no pesticides, no VOCs and no optical brighteners. Hypoallergenic, and hygienically packed in resealable bags.
What TCF actually means
Totally Chlorine Free means the materials are processed without chlorine bleaching at any stage. Many conventional diapers still use chlorine-based processing to get that bright white look. TCF skips it entirely, which matters when the material sits against sensitive skin day and night.
What clean-label parents say
♥♥♥♥♥
I love the texture and the clean ingredients.

I love how soft they are. They are pretty much equivalent to most diapers on the market but much softer than any I have used.
